Nintendo of America has confirmed to IGN that they’re discontinuing the NES Classic Edition aka "NES Mini". The the very last shipments will go out to retailers throughout this month.
A Nintendo representative provided the following statement to IGN:
Seems like the NES Classic Edition wasn’t intended to be an ongoing, long-term product. However, due to high demand, NOA added extra shipments to its original plans.
